As part of the visit to the IPA Region in Novi Sad, a four-member delegation of the IPA Section Poland, IPA Region Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, visited the Basic Police Training Centre in Sremska Kamenica on October 25, 2019.
The delegation of IPA Section Poland, IPA Region of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska was led by the President of the Region, Andrzej Kozioł, and included the members Bartłomiej Twaróg, Robert Pietrasik and Piotr Filar.
On behalf of the IPA Section Serbia, IPA Region in Novi Sad, the visit was attended by Milorad Petković, President of the Region, Mirjana Mijailović, Vice President, Milorad Ašćerić, President of the Supervisory Board and Boško Timotijević, member.

At the Basic Police Training Centre in Sremska Kamenica, the delegation was received by the Deputy Head of the Centre, Police Colonel Žarko Jelača and Head of the Section for the Field of Police Skills Police Lieutenant Colonel Danilo Avramović.
At the beginning of the visit, the guests were introduced to the concept of basic police training, the system of candidate selection, segments of basic police training curriculum and extracurricular activities, as well as the facilities of the Centre. The participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices from their countries.
After that, the delegation had the opportunity to see the aforementioned facilities – they visited the tactical house, where Head of the Section for the Field of Police Duties and Powers, Police Major Nemanja Radović and Trainer of professional subjects, Police Major Dejan Đorđević explained in more detail the activities from this field of training.
The delegation then saw the sports hall and the video shooting range, where Trainer of professional subjects, Police Major Vladimir Kosanović explained the video shooting range principles of work and how it is used in trainees’ handling police weapons skill development.
Afterwards, the visitors saw the trainees’ accommodation and finally, the library with the information and reference centre, where they were welcomed by the librarian Milovan Bojat.
The delegation’s impressions of everything presented to them related to basic police training were decidedly positive.
