The representative of the US Department of Justice International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program (ICITAP) at the US Embassy in Belgrade, Mr. Patrick White, accompanied by his assistant and Mr. Dušan Mihajlović from the Bureau for International Cooperation and European Integrations, visited the Basic Police Training Centre in Sremska Kamenica on the 30th October 2014.

Guests had the opportunity to see the school building, facilities where the training takes place, library and accommodation facilities of the Centre. They were shown the presentation on the concept and dynamics of basic police training, methods of candidate selection and assessment of knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired during the training, cooperation with other organizational units of the Ministry of Interior, other institutions and the local community.
At the end of the visit, Mr. White said he was pleased with what he saw and decided that training is of high quality. As he himself participated in the implementation of various trainings for FBI agents in the US, he can say that the quality of basic police training, which takes place at the Centre in Sremska Kamenica, is not inferior to the quality of training in his country.
