Welcome to the web site of the Basic Police Training Centre. This is the only school for basic police training in the Republic of Serbia.
The Basic Police Training Centre has been establised in 2009.
In 2009, also the last generation of the Police High School students has graduated based on old curriculum. In this 2-year period, the Police High School and Basic Police Training Centre simultaneously functioned.
The Basic Police Training Centre trains male and female participants who have completed high school.
Aim of the basic police training is to ensure quality training of the uniformed police officers that would satisfy the needs of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia and the needs of the community, in accordance with the Law on Police.
The OSCE Mission to Serbia, which has organized a donors’ conference in June 2006, has also been engaged in the implementation of the project of transformation of the Police High School into BPTC, through the Memorandum of Understanding.
The Norwegian Government has donated 715,000 €. The resources have been invested in the reconstruction of the dormitories and furnishing of classrooms crucial for the functioning of the Basic Police Training Centre.
